Proceed to Thekkady after breakfast. Enjoy the breathtaking drive scrolling down the tea plantations winding the western ghat. Check in a hotel. Relax in the hotel and participate in the activities in the resort.</p>
<p>Day 3<br />
Morning by 9 am, enjoy the elephant ride. Go for a boating around the periyar lake to explore the wildlife in Periyar. Evening, get adventurous with a trekking. Overnight at the resort.</p>

Drive to Kumarakom. Check in a house boat for a day long cruise along the backwaters enjoying the village life and lush green paddy fields. Sleep aboard the boat pampered by the waves of the vembanad lake.</p>

Pick up from Cochin Airport/ Railway station and transfer to the Resort in Munnar (153 Kms – 5 Hrs drive). On the way visit, Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, visit Tea museum etc Check into hotel &amp; overnight stay</p>
<p>Day 3: Munnar<br />
After breakfast at your convenient, start sightseeing of Munnar. Madupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Athukkad Falls, Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, Tea Museum, Blossom Park, Pothamedu Sunset. Overnight stay.</p>
<p>Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady<br />
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady (110 Kms &amp; 3 Hrs. drive). On arrival, check in at Hotel and evening take a motorboat ride at Periyar Lake to watch the wildlife. Overnight stay there.</p>
<p>Day 5: Thekkady to Alleppey<br />
After breakfast, transfer to Kumarakom to check in to houseboat (170 Kms and 5 Hrs drive) and overnight at houseboat. (Houseboat will move from 1200 Hrs Noon to 1800 Hrs Evening and Morning 0600 Hrs to1000 Hrs).</p>
<p>Day 6: Alleppey to Kanyakumary<br />
Check out time form Houseboat is 0930 A.M and transfer to Kanyakumary. On arrival check in at Hotel and enjoy the sunset and overnight stay.</p>
<p>Day 7: Kanyakumary to Kovalam<br />
Morning blessed with sun rise and sightseeing Kumariamman temple, Vivekananda rock, Thiruvalluvar statue etc. Afternoon transfer to Kovalam and check into a hotel near to beach. Overnight stay there.</p>
<p>Day 8: Departure Kovalam Trivandrum dropping (15 Kms / ½ hrs)<br />

Day 1: Arrival at Cochin transfer to Munnar<br />
Pick up from Cochin Airport/ Railway station and transfer to the Resort in Munnar (153 Kms – 5 Hrs drives).On the way visit, Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, visit Tea museum etc. Check into hotel &amp; overnight stay at hotel.</p>
<p>Day 2: Munnar<br />
After breakfast at your convenient, sightseeing to  Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Athukkad Falls, Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, Tea Museum, Blossom Park, Pothamedu Sunset. Overnight stay there.</p>
<p>Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady<br />
After breakfast, transfer to Thekkady (110 Kms and 4 Hrs drives). Visit Periyar wild life sanctuary, Motor boat cruise through Periyar Tiger Reserve forest lake, Spice Plantation, Shopping (Spices). Overnight stay at Thekkady.<br />
Day 4: Thekkady to Cochin for Departure<br />
After breakfast drive back to Cochin (195 Kms &#8211; 5 Hrs Drive). On arrival transfer to the airport/ railway station before schedule time of your flight or train.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Established in 1973, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is contiguous to  the protected area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the  north-east and Mudimalai of Tamilnadu on the south-east. Rich in  bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri  Biosphere Reservem, Which has been established with the specific  objective of conservating the biological heritage of the region.  Interestingly, it was from here that Pazhassi Raja fought valiantly  against the British.Consisting entirely of notified reserve, the  sanctuary is very rich in fauna and flora. <h3>Topography</h3>
<p>Gently undulating with occasional hillocks, the highest peak is Karottimala (1158m).</p>
<h3>Climate</h3>
<p>The tract receives fairly reasonable amount of rain, most of which is  received during June to August. March, April and May are warm.</p>
<h3>Forest Types</h3>
<p>Most of the forests are of the south Indian moist deciduous type.  There are, however, a few patches of west coast semi evergreen forests.  About 110 sq.kms of the sanctuary is under plantations of teak,  eucalyptus. And grevelia.</p>
<h3>Flora</h3>
<p>In the moist deciduous forest, maruthi, karimaruthi, rosewood,  venteak, vengal, chadachi, mazhukanjiram, bamboo etc grow. In the  semi-evergreen patches Veteria indica. Lagerstroemia, Lanceolata,  Termianalia paniculata etc are common.</p>
<h3>Fauna</h3>
<p>The animal population of the sanctuary is varies. Elephant, tiger,  Panther, jungle cat, civet cat, monkeys, wild dog, bison, deer, bear,  etc. inhabit the sanctuary. Reptiles like monitor lizard and a variety  of snakes are seen. Peacock, babblers, cuckoos, owl, wood pecker and  jungle fowl are only a few among the different types of birds seen in  the area.</p>
<p>Among the animals, elephant occupies the prime position. Interstate  seasonal migration of elephant is common.Tiger population of the  sanctuary is fairly good. Frequent sightings are reported from  Tholpetty, Rambur and Mavinhalla areas.</p>
